Generally when people say "Twelve" they mean "Twelve" and not "X-Two." Now, I'm not retarded and I know X-II is 12 in roman numerals, but when there's an actual 12 and an X-II, generally people would specify between the two. But yes, I knew you referred to X-II. This is why I cook for Thunder when his wife is MIA.

 Re: Final Fantasy XIII
I haven't played it but I checked into it. The summons system is interesting. Each character gets their own summon and s/he can make them transform into a vehicle-like form called Gestalt mode in which they ride on their edilon and supposedly have much stranger attacks.
As for the story it seems they found a unique one instead of just rehashing 7 in some way.

 Re: Final Fantasy XIII
i'm just going to point out that final fantasy is more of a niche game for the fans. bioshock is for the masses.

 Re: Final Fantasy XIII
I haven't played yet, but my friend on Facebook's playing it and she said she'd played it for over an hour and still had no idea what the plot of the story is. Is it really that slow going or are her pregger hormones making her a little slow? If it's a slow start or the story's unclear, I don't think I'd enjoy playing it.

Although it's probably a better story with better graphics, the play style isn't as mainstream as Bioshock, which is why it gets overlooked. Like Thunder said, I never expect Final Fantasy games to win GotY, even though I personally think they are better than the slew of crap that gets it some years. Rynaria wrote: If it's a slow start or the story's unclear, I don't think I'd enjoy playing it. I don't know if you've ever played a Final Fantasy before but the way it usually goes, even if you have an idea of what the story is in the first...let's say half...of the game, it usually changes. One recurring theme in FF is the concept that a larger, more sinister enemy lies behind what you originally think is the main bad guy of the game. re: Shinra-Sephiroth, Emperor-Kefka, Edea-Ultimecia.
